Castelnovo ne’ Monti

Quick day trip to find snow in the mountains near Reggio. Enjoyed a great lunch and then took a short walk to  Eremo di Bismantova (Hermitage of Bismantova), a historic sanctuary located at the base of the Pietra di Bismantova. It was built around the year 1400 and was historically occupied by Benedictine monks.
